Good universities and then some?

University of Florida is really difficult to get into (for in-state or out of state), but I hear from my friend's parents who went there that it is a great school academically, plus it has all of the perks of being a big state school. I personally have a public-school bias, I think large schools have more to offer in academics, social life, and basically anything else in the college experience. University of Minnesota is a fine school, UF is probably better. But Notre Dame is an excellent school too, as is Loyola Marymount (I'm uming you are talking about LMU Chicago). I wouldn't bother with the SUNY school or Missouri.
