This situation has gotten out of hand...I need help?

OK...I work with this younger woman and I somehow convinced her (I have no idea how) that I know Gwen Stefani and that she is coming to our hometown for a visit. This woman bragged to everyone at work about this and now the whole company is excited about this event. They've planned a picnic, a train ride and other festivities for her arrival on February 14th. Normally, the office wouldn't be gullible but I went to great lengths to prove I in fact know her. I've retouched old pictures to look like she is in them (only younger) I get a friend of mine to phone from LA so the area code is from there, etc, etc. I tried hiring a Gwen Stefani look-alike but she wants lots of money and plus she finds the whole situation beneath her. I was wondering what kind of plausible excuse I could give for her no-show. Please, only serious answers!! Thank you.
