Child molester living down the street?

I live in a town home with my 3yr old son and pregnant with my second son and a child molester moved in about 7 or 8 houses down the street. This makes me extremely nervous. Is there anyway or laws that could get him to move? How do i really handle this and is there anyway i can look up to see exactly what he did?
